    Vintage, Out of Print "A Stained Glass Garden" Block of the Month Quilt Kit ~ Designed by Sallie Biggs Pate in 1998!

    "A Stained Glass Garden" was designed by Sallie Biggs Pate in 1998 and is now out of print and no longer available for sale in retail stores!
    Distributed by Quakertown Quilts and purchased from Cabin Fever Quilts & More (no longer in business).
    The kit includes 12 block of the month kits, plus the center medallion kit and a borders kit. 14 kits in total. Patterns and instructions are included to make the entire quilt. Fabric for blocks 5-12, plus the center medallion are included with the kits, as well as fabric for the floral borders. The kit has been partially used but it is complete except for fabric for blocks 1-4 and the sashing and binding fabric. Some of the patterns and instructions have helpful notes written on them.
    IMPORTANT~PLEASE NOTE: the fabric for kits 1, 2, 3 and 4 has been used and only the scraps remain.
    The fabric remaining in block kits 1-4 will NOT be enough to make blocks 1-4 but the scraps can be used to match and replace the fabric for those blocks. Luckily the fabrics used for this quilt are mainly Moda marbles prints which are still widely available and will be easy to match with the fabric scraps included with kits 1-4.
    The fabric included in the borders kit is complete EXCEPT for the black sashing and binding fabrics (1.5 yards total). There is extra fabric in the borders kit (in blue) which may have been intended to use instead of black for the sashing and binding, but the quilt pattern calls for black fabric which is NOT included.
    I don't see the size of the finished quilt anywhere, but by adding up all the measurements of the blocks, borders and sashing I believe it should finish at 72" x 72". The center medallion is 28 x 28", the side blocks are 8 1/2" high and each of the 12 blocks are 14 1/2 x 14 1/2".
    This 23 year old block of the month kit is an extremely rare find, don't miss out! Thanks for looking!
