From the pattern book: "Ciopinno (chip-een-o) is an Italian seafood stew that is made in coastal towns where seafood is plentiful.  It came to America along the wharves in San Francisco.  Legend has it that someone wouuld have a pot of soup cooking and all the fishermen that came by would "chip in" some of whatever they had caught for  the day.  The soup was left to simmer all day as ingredients were added and then served to all who contributed.  This quilt has an ECLECTIC look, as if several people "chipped in" the fabrics that went into the quilt."  Just gotta love that description and it has such a vintage look to it.  This could be yours....
