Jammu and Kashmir
,
India with an undivided back. It shows 2 beautiful views: 1. Christian Schoolboys.
The child on the right is Joseph Gergan (1878-1946): he was later well known as a historian of Ladakh and as a translator of the Christian Bible into Tibetan. The boy on the left is called Ali: he later moved from Ladakh to Kotgarh on the southern side of the Himalayas, not too far from Simla.
2. School. This postcard was published by Verlag der Missionsbuchhandlung Hernnhut in about 1899. So it is more than one HUNDRED and 15 years
